Today we explore Fes with a local guide. Fes is considered the cultural and spiritual capital of Morocco and one of the most important imperial cities in the country.nnThe guided tour of Fes may include the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish Quarter, panoramic viewpoints, the famous tanneries, Al Quaraouiyine University, Bou Inania Madrasa, Nejjarine Fountain, old souks, and traditional artisan workshops.nnYou will walk through the narrow alleys of Fes Medina and discover one of the most beautiful and historical old cities in Morocco. After the guided tour, you will return to your riad for overnight in Fes.

After breakfast, we leave Fes and travel towards Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Morocco because of its alpine-style architecture, clean streets, and mountain atmosphere. After Ifrane, we continue to Azrou, a Berber town near the cedar forest, where you may see Barbary monkeys in their natural environment.nnThe journey continues through the Middle Atlas Mountains towards Midelt, a town known for apples and mountain landscapes. After lunch or a short break, we continue through beautiful mountain roads, Berber villages, and the changing landscapes of southern Morocco.nnWe pass Erfoud, famous for fossils and dates, before arriving in Merzouga, located near the golden Erg Chebbi dunes. In Merzouga, you will ride camels across the Sahara sand dunes and enjoy a magical sunset. After reaching the desert camp, you will enjoy dinner, Berber music around the campfire, and a peaceful overnight stay under the desert sky.

Today is dedicated to exploring the Merzouga Sahara Desert and the Erg Chebbi dunes. After breakfast, we start a desert discovery tour around Merzouga by 4x4 vehicle.nnYou may visit nomad families living near the dunes and learn about their traditional desert lifestyle. We can also visit Khamlia village, famous for Gnawa music, where you will enjoy local music and discover an important part of Moroccan desert culture.nnThe day may also include desert tracks, black volcanic landscapes, panoramic viewpoints of Erg Chebbi dunes, small Berber villages, palm groves, and a desert oasis. Dinner and overnight will be in Merzouga, either in a desert camp or a local hotel near the dunes

Early in the morning, we recommend waking up to watch the sunrise over the dunes of Merzouga. After breakfast, we leave the Sahara Desert and travel through the beautiful landscapes of southern Morocco.nnWe drive through Erfoud and several Berber villages before reaching Todra Gorge, one of the most impressive canyons in Morocco. Here, you will have time to walk between the high cliffs and enjoy the beautiful views of the gorge, palm groves, and surrounding mountains.nnAfter visiting Todra Gorge, we continue to Dades Valley, famous for its rock formations, kasbahs, valley views, and peaceful landscapes. Dinner and overnight will be in a local hotel or riad in Dades Valley.

After breakfast, we leave Dades Valley and travel through the road of kasbahs towards Ouarzazate. Along the way, you will enjoy beautiful valley views, Berber villages, palm groves, and southern Moroccan landscapes.nnWe continue to Ouarzazate, known as the gate of the Sahara Desert and the cinema city of Morocco. After that, we visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most beautiful fortified villages in Morocco. This ancient kasbah is a highlight of many Morocco tours and has been used as a filming location for many international movies.nnAfter exploring Ait Ben Haddou, we continue through the High Atlas Mountains and cross the famous Tizi n'Tichka pass, which reaches 2260 meters. In the afternoon or evening, we arrive in Marrakech, the red city of Morocco. Overnight will be in a local riad or hotel in Marrakech.
