12 Days Grand Morocco Tour from Agadir to Casablanca

We start our private 12 days Morocco tour from Agadir to Casablanca by picking you up from your hotel, riad, airport, or any meeting point in Agadir. We drive towards Taroudant, one of the oldest cities in Morocco and often called the little Marrakech because of its red walls, souks, and traditional atmosphere.nnAfter visiting Taroudant, we continue to Taliouine, a small town famous for Moroccan saffron. We pass through beautiful Anti Atlas landscapes, Berber villages, and mountain roads before reaching Ouarzazate, known as the gate of the Sahara Desert.nnAfter a short stop in Ouarzazate, we continue along the road of kasbahs towards Dades Valley. Here you will enjoy the beautiful valley views, rock formations, and peaceful landscapes. Dinner and overnight will be in a local hotel or riad in Dades Valley.

After breakfast, our Morocco desert tour continues from Dades Valley towards Todra Gorges, one of the most impressive canyons in Morocco. We will stop to walk inside the high cliffs and enjoy the beautiful views of the gorge.nnAfter visiting Todra Gorges, we drive through Tinghir and several Berber villages before reaching Erfoud, a town famous for fossils and dates. Then we continue to Merzouga, located near the golden Erg Chebbi dunes.nnIn Merzouga, you will enjoy the magical atmosphere of the Sahara Desert. Depending on arrival time, you may ride camels into the dunes to watch the sunset and reach your desert camp, or spend the night in a hotel near the dunes. Dinner and overnight will be in Merzouga.

Today is dedicated to exploring the Merzouga desert and the Erg Chebbi dunes. After breakfast, we start a desert discovery tour around Merzouga. You may visit nomad families living near the dunes and learn about their simple desert lifestyle.nnWe can also visit Khamlia village, famous for Gnawa music, where you will enjoy traditional music and local culture. The tour may continue through desert tracks, black volcanic landscapes, small Berber villages, and panoramic viewpoints of the dunes.nnIn the afternoon, you will ride camels across the Sahara sand dunes and enjoy a beautiful sunset over Erg Chebbi. After reaching the desert camp, you will enjoy dinner, Berber music around the campfire, and a peaceful overnight stay under the desert sky.

Early in the morning, we recommend waking up to watch the sunrise over the dunes of Merzouga. After breakfast, we leave the Sahara Desert and drive towards Rissani, an old trading town and an important historical stop in southern Morocco.nnWe continue through Alnif and Nkob, passing desert landscapes, Berber villages, palm groves, and mountain views. Our journey continues through the beautiful Draa Valley, one of the longest valleys in Morocco and famous for its palm trees, kasbahs, and traditional villages.nnIn the afternoon, we continue to Ouarzazate, the cinema city of Morocco and the gateway between the desert and the High Atlas Mountains. Dinner and overnight will be in a local riad or hotel in Ouarzazate.

After breakfast, we visit the famous Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the most beautiful fortified villages in Morocco. This kasbah has been used as a filming location for many international movies and is one of the highlights of any Morocco itinerary.nnAfter exploring Ait Ben Haddou, we continue through the High Atlas Mountains and cross the famous Tizi n'Tichka pass, which reaches 2260 meters. Along the way, we enjoy panoramic mountain views, Berber villages, and many photo stops.nnIn the afternoon, we arrive in Marrakech, the red city of Morocco. You will have free time to relax at your riad or enjoy Jemaa El Fna square in the evening. Overnight will be in a local riad or hotel in Marrakech.

Today our private Morocco tour continues with a guided visit of Marrakech. With a local guide, you will explore the most important historical and cultural monuments of the city.nnThe Marrakech guided tour may include the Koutoubia Mosque, Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, Majorelle Garden, the old medina, colorful souks, and the famous Jemaa El Fna square. You will walk through narrow streets full of spices, carpets, leather, lamps, and traditional Moroccan crafts.nnAfter lunch, you may have free time to explore more of Marrakech, visit the modern area of Gueliz, relax in a café, or enjoy shopping in the souks. Overnight will be in Marrakech.

After breakfast, we leave Marrakech and drive towards Essaouira, a beautiful coastal city on the Atlantic Ocean. Along the way, we may pass argan tree areas and, if lucky, see goats climbing the trees. We can also stop at a local argan oil cooperative to learn about this famous Moroccan product.nnAfter arriving in Essaouira, you will explore the old medina, the fishing port, the beach, the city walls, and the relaxed coastal atmosphere. Essaouira is known for its white and blue streets, fresh seafood, artists, and peaceful charm.nnYou will have free time to walk around the medina, enjoy the beach, or have lunch near the port. Overnight will be in a local riad or hotel in Essaouira.

After breakfast, we leave Essaouira and drive along the Atlantic coast towards Casablanca. On the way, we enjoy coastal landscapes and small towns before arriving in Morocco's largest city.nnIn Casablanca, we may visit the impressive Hassan II Mosque, one of the most famous landmarks in Morocco and one of the largest mosques in the world. You may also enjoy a short visit to the Corniche, Mohammed V Square, or the modern city center depending on arrival time.nnOvernight will be in a hotel in Casablanca.

After breakfast, we continue our 12 days Morocco tour from Casablanca to Rabat, the capital city of Morocco. In Rabat, we visit the most important monuments, including Hassan Tower, Mohammed V Mausoleum, the Royal Palace area, and the Kasbah of the Oudayas.nnAfter visiting Rabat, we drive north through beautiful landscapes towards Chefchaouen, the famous blue town of Morocco located in the Rif Mountains. Chefchaouen is one of the most charming places in Morocco, known for its blue-painted streets, mountain views, relaxed atmosphere, and traditional handicrafts.nnAfter arrival, you will have free time to walk through the blue medina and enjoy the peaceful evening. Overnight will be in a local riad or hotel in Chefchaouen.

After breakfast, you will have some free time in Chefchaouen to enjoy the blue streets, take photos, and explore the medina. The town is famous for its Spanish-style square, local shops, rooftop cafés, and beautiful mountain atmosphere.nnLater, we leave Chefchaouen and drive towards Fes, one of the oldest imperial cities in Morocco. Along the way, we pass through Rif Mountain landscapes and traditional villages.nnAfter arriving in Fes, you will check into your riad and have free time to relax. Overnight will be in a local riad or hotel in Fes.

Today we explore Fes with a local guide. Fes is considered the cultural and spiritual capital of Morocco and is famous for its ancient medina, traditional crafts, historical monuments, and old Islamic schools.nnThe guided tour of Fes may include the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish Quarter, panoramic viewpoints, the famous tanneries, Al Quaraouiyine University, Bou Inania Madrasa, Nejjarine Fountain, old souks, and artisan workshops.nnYou will walk through the narrow alleys of Fes Medina and discover one of the most authentic old cities in Morocco. After the guided tour, you will return to your riad for overnight in Fes.

After breakfast, we leave Fes and drive towards Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Morocco because of its alpine-style architecture and clean streets. We may stop in the cedar forest near Azrou, where you can see Barbary monkeys in their natural environment.nnOur journey continues through the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing beautiful forests, small towns, and mountain landscapes.
